The five pieces

Miss One Piece and the Setup Stalls

Most agencies sell you the license and disappear. The license is one piece of five. Here is the whole machine, with honest timelines. The licence is one piece of five.

2 to 5 days

Business License

Your legal right to operate. Free zone in 2 to 5 working days, mainland in 1 to 2 weeks. We pick the jurisdiction from who your customers are, not from what pays us more.

1 to 2 weeks

Residence Visa

Investor, partner, employee and family visas with medicals and Emirates ID, typically 1 to 2 weeks after the license. Family can be added right after yours.

The stall step

Bank Account

UAE banks vet new companies hard, and this is where setups stall for months. We build your file the way compliance wants it and match you to a bank that fits your profile.

At setup

Accounting & Tax

Corporate tax is 9% above AED 375,000 profit, VAT is 5% past AED 375,000 turnover. Registrations are handled at setup so nothing bites you in month six.

Year round

PRO Services

Renewals, amendments, approvals and document clearing across every UAE authority. The piece that keeps the other four alive every year after.

How it works

The Pieces Run in Parallel, Not in a Queue

While your license processes, the bank file and tax registrations are already moving. That is how week one stays week one. While your licence processes, the bank file and tax registrations are already moving.

Days 1 to 2
Consultation & documents
Activity, jurisdiction and trade name locked. Passports and photos in. Exact cost confirmed in writing.
Days 2 to 5
License issued
Free zone licenses typically land inside the week. Mainland runs 1 to 2 weeks.
Week 2
Visas & Emirates ID
Medical, biometrics, Emirates ID. Family visas follow right behind yours.
In parallel
Bank file prepared
The compliance file is built while the license processes, so the application files the day the license exists.
In parallel
Tax & accounting
Corporate tax and VAT registrations handled at setup, books ready from day one.
Pick your ground

Mainland, free zone or offshore?

The same company costs and behaves differently depending on where it is registered, and the right answer comes from who your customers are. Here is the honest split. The right route comes from who your customers are. Here is the honest split.

Dubai Mainland

Sell anywhere in the UAE, including to government. The route for shops, restaurants, local services and anyone whose customers are here.

  • Trade across the whole UAE market
  • 100% foreign ownership on most activities
  • Licence in 1 to 2 weeks
  • Our DET package from AED 17,772

UAE Free Zone

The fastest, leanest start. Best for consulting, online business, media and anyone serving clients outside the UAE or over the internet.

  • 100% foreign ownership, always
  • Licence in 2 to 5 working days
  • From AED 5,500 in Sharjah, AED 11,920 in Dubai
  • Visa packages from AED 14,500

The 0% corporate tax rate applies only in a designated free zone, and only on qualifying income. Sell into the mainland and VAT still applies past AED 375,000 turnover.

UAE Offshore

A holding and international trading vehicle. It protects assets and trades globally, but it cannot do business inside the UAE and carries no visas.

  • Holds assets, shares and Dubai property
  • No UAE office, a registered agent instead
  • RAK ICC package AED 11,000
  • Annual renewal AED 3,500

Still torn between the two big routes? Read the full mainland vs free zone cost comparison.

Frequently Asked Questions

Total setup typically runs AED 5,500 to AED 37,500 all in. A free zone licence with no visas starts around AED 6,500 in Sharjah and AED 11,920 in Dubai. A free zone package with one or two visas lands between AED 14,500 and AED 30,000. A mainland company licence usually falls between AED 17,772 and AED 28,287. The cost calculator gives you your exact number in under a minute.

A free zone company is typically registered in 2 to 5 working days once documents are complete. Mainland usually takes 1 to 2 weeks. Residence visas and Emirates ID add a further 1 to 2 weeks after the license exists. Activities needing ministry approval (healthcare, finance, education) take longer, and we say so before you start.

Usually not for the license itself. Most free zones and many mainland structures register companies remotely with attested documents. You need to be in the UAE once for the visa medical and Emirates ID biometrics, which happen after the company already exists.

Yes. Free zones have always allowed 100% foreign ownership, and since 2021 more than 1,000 mainland activities do too, with no Emirati sponsor. A short list of strategic activities still requires UAE national participation, and we tell you upfront if yours is one.

It comes down to who your customers are. Selling to people or companies inside the UAE (retail, restaurants, local services, government work) points to mainland. Serving clients internationally or online (consulting, IT, e-commerce, media) points to a free zone, usually faster and cheaper to start. Unsure? We map it to your actual customer base on a free call.

UAE banks run strict compliance and KYC checks, and this is the step that stalls most new companies. We prepare your file in the format banks expect, match you to a bank that actually serves your profile, and walk the application through. That preparation is the difference between days and months.

Every quote is itemized. Each government fee is its own line, our professional fee is shown separately, and VAT of 5% applies to the professional fee only. That total is what you owe us. Nothing is bundled into a single mystery number. A 3% card processing fee is added only if you choose to pay through our secure online payment link.

No. Government fees are paid to the authority when each application is filed, so payments follow the process rather than landing as one lump sum on day one. Your consultant sets out the payment points against the timeline before you commit, and nothing is taken before you have the written quotation.

Your license, office and visas renew annually. Renewal is usually meaningfully cheaper than year one because one-time formation charges do not repeat. We flag every renewal well before its deadline and re-quote it in the same itemized format. Already due? Start a renewal check here.

Yes. Once your own residence visa and Emirates ID are issued, you can sponsor your spouse and children as dependants. Sponsorship needs a minimum salary level and attested marriage or birth certificates, and we handle the full dependant application alongside your own.

Yes. The UAE levies no personal income tax on salaries or wages, whatever your visa type or nationality. Your company does have obligations: corporate tax is 9% on profits above AED 375,000 and VAT is 5% once turnover passes AED 375,000. We register both correctly at setup.

Not always. Many free zones accept a flexi desk that satisfies the office requirement at low cost while still carrying visa allocation. Mainland companies generally need an Ejari-registered office. Offshore companies need no UAE office at all, only a registered agent address.

For most setups: a clear passport copy for every shareholder, a passport-style photo, and a short description of your business activity. Some structures also need proof of address, attested certificates, a No Objection Certificate if you are already on a UAE visa, or an Ejari tenancy for mainland. The exact checklist comes with your free consultation.

Yes. Our PRO team takes over renewals, amendments and government work for existing companies every week. Tell us where you are in the process on WhatsApp and a consultant confirms exactly what is needed, with the same itemized pricing.
